px90 Day 16 – Plyo

I don’t know if I can blog everyday about my px90 workouts. It is hard enough doing the workouts everyday let alone writing about them afterwards. I’m seriously considering abridging my workouts to half the amount of time by either cutting portions out or not using the videos for the resistance days (mon, wed, friday). How hard could it possibly to just do the workouts without following along with Tony… uh, not hard.

Plyometrics today. Another day of jumping pissing off my downstairs neighbors and feeling winded after a few exercises. Yay.

Summary of px90 Day 16: Is it rest week yet?

px90 Day 15 – I lost my password

Hello everybody. I lost my user name and password last week which prevented me from blogging. So here’s the recap. My px90. So today is the 3rd day of chest and back. My chest reps are improving… my back numbers are not. I’ve always had difficulty improving my back workout when I was in the gym… so this doesn’t surprise me in the least however it’s annoying. I decided to leave my pull up bar in efforts to do pull ups casually throughout the day. Perhaps that will improve my px90 numbers.

Summary of px90 Day 15: Don’t lose your password when blogging.

px90 Day 8 – Start of 2nd week

Time to start eating more food before my px90 workouts. I had my typically juice and Kashi Go Lean cereal, however half way through I lost all momentum. By the time I got to Ab Ripper X I basically just went through the motions which is terrible. My Chest and Back numbers were interesting. Some exercises the numbers improved, others were worst than last week. I’m going to start making 2 eggs and toast along with my cereal each morning. That should give me more energy to make it through my workout.

Summary of px90 Day 8: More food needed.

px90 Day 6 – 5 mile winter hike

Kenpo X is more or less a cardio px90 workout. Rather than do that I ended up going on a hike in the Adirondack’s of NY. I was supposed to go skiing that day with a friend but the mountain was over run with NYC peeps. We choose to go hiking in Woodstock instead. 2.5 miles up (in snow) and 2.5 miles down. I haven’t hiked since last summer, I was having difficulty for the first 1/2 mile but that disappeared when I fell into my natural rhythm of left leg, right leg. By the end of the hike I was beat… no way in hell was I going to do kenpo X.

Summary of px90  Day 5: Winter hike is comparable to Kenpo X.

px90 Day 5 – Legs and Back

It’s friday and I really don’t want to write anything today so I’m going to take the day off.

Summary of px90  Day 5: Out to lunch.

px90 Day 4 – Yoga X (Is it done yet?)

Get ready for a 90 minute px90 workout. This is the longest workout out of all of them. The first 45 minutes is moving yoga, the second 45 minutes is balance and stretching. So get ready to sweat your ass off for the first half. I’m not entirely sure why I was sweating but I was. The movements are slow and methodical… I guess holding up your own weight is tiresome for the body.

I feel very relaxed right now. I’m going to go eat an orange and sit.

Summary of px90 Day 4: The journey at the end of the long road is rewarding.

px90 Day 3 – To love or NOT to love Ab Ripper X

I didn’t do my px90 workout this morning because I had no food in the house. No food before workout means no energy to finish workout. I’ve heard and read a lot about px90 nutrition. Eating healthy is as, perhaps even more effective then “bringing it” during the workouts. I’m skinny. The joke I have amongst friends is that when I eat more food I lose weight. It’s as if my body is over compensating for more food being put in. My point is this, I eat whatever I want. Over the past 2 years I’ve cut fast food (McD’s, Wendy’s, BK, Taco Bell) completely out of my diet. Candy and chips are limited, soda only exists in the ginger ale form during sickness (sickness almost never happens). Beyond that I eat what I want when I want to and I don’t really think about it. I don’t buy into the whole eat super healthy to the point where my whole grain bread taste like cardboard. I’m rambling… I want to lose my baby fat in my abs but I don’t want to eat cardboard or spend mucho money (natural food cost more money) at the super market.

I just finished my shoulder and arms workout. Ab Ripper X concluded the workout. This shit is hard. By the time you’re done with the main px90 workout the last thing you want to do is 325 ab reps. The irony is that I want to tone my abs but hate doing ab ripper x. I better learn to love it real quick.

Summary of px90 Day 2: I love to hate ab ripper x.

px90 Day 2 – Plyometrics

My shirt is soaked. I’m a skinny guy with a little gut. I hope I’m sweating off my ridiculous abs. Plyometrics is definitely one of the more difficult px90 workouts because you are in constant motion and unlike kenpo x or cardio x the moves require more strenuous energy (the type of energy used when lifting not the type when running).

Summary of px90 Day 2: I’m spent.

px90 Day 1 – Chest and Back

After nearly 2 weeks break I’m back. With the holidays and a common cold last week the px90 was underperforming. I learned a few things the first time around such as waking early, eating breakfast, waiting for half an hour, working out, taking a shower afterwards, and writing in my blog immediately after that. A schedule more or less. A routine that once established will be hard to break. I feel great. It was a difficult getting back into it but thankfully I did.

The px90 workouts are meant to be difficult but when you’re done (especially if you do it in the morning) you’re pumping with energy. The energy is what I’m after, I want to feel alive during the day. So I lived on Peak Recovery Formula during today’s workout. As I mentioned before this shit is the px90 workout elixir. Not enough energy or feeling sluggish drink this (actually good tasting) energy drink and you’ll be crushing your goals by 1 – 3 reps. Eating healthy and getting enough food energy is most important but if you want something extra, or you screwed up eating that day get the Peak Recovery Formula

Summary of px90 Day 1: I missed you px90.

px90 pause

Just wanted everybody to know that I’ve been sick with the common cold for the past few days. Today it turned into a chest cold, something which terrifies me as it usually turns asthmatic. Im going to restart the px90 program next Monday at which point all holiday’s and sickness’s will be over.

px90 Day 10 – Shoulders and Arms Again!

So I didn’t actually do this px90 workout yesterday. I was busy all day due to no productivity during the previous two days. At 11 last night I made the judgement call to throw in the towel and go to bed. I don’t want to half-ass my px90 workouts. I’d rather double up a day (although this is probably a bad idea) then sluggishly make my way through late at night.

I woke up early this morning, mixed some recovery drink in my water and went to town. So let me tell you about this recovery drink they have. Technically I think you are supposed to use it after your px90 workouts. However I’ve noticed that drinking it before, during and after is absolutely amazing. Last week I mixed one scoop in my water during my legs and back workout and I had so much fierce energy that I was exceeding my expectations. I recommend everybody buying the peak recovery formula and drinking some while you workout.

Today I crushed my workout. I took my maximum weights and reps from last week and used them as my standard for today. I did really well. Today was definitely my best px90 workout thus far.

Summary of px90 Day 10: Peak Recovery Formula while working out crushes your goals.

px90 Day 8 and 9

I left my house early to spend New Years away from home with friends. I didn’t have time to do my px90 workout. As for New Year’s day, by the time I got back home I was exhausted. I typically don’t get hangovers (drink 16 ounces of water before bed) so that wasn’t the issue I just didn’t sleep the night before. “Bringing it” wasn’t going to happen so I didn’t waste my time.

Summary of px90 Day 8 and 9: Have Fun on New Years.
